Default Converting Video

Windows XP/SP2 / Media Player 10 - all fully patched:

Video Record function of the Treo 700w records in 3g2 format. I can watch the vids using the 700w, but have not been able to convert the files so that I can watch them on the PC or share them with others.

I have set up the Active Sync and it works, but apparently it does not convert the files to a common format. I've tried converting via both Active Sync and Media Player 10 on the desktop/laptop, but no joy there either.

I guess I'd be happy to find a little program that will let me convert the files manually if there is one available. I'd rather not use Sync anyway (moot since I can't get it to convert), and would prefer to copy the 3g2 files manually and individually.

Any help?

I've had trouble running them as well. I downloaded the latest version of Qucktime and by changing the file extension to .3gp I can get it to sometimes open and play the file. Other times it will lock up. If I change the extension to .mp4 I can get it to play video using Nero Player but the audio does not play.

Hopefully there will be a resolution to this. Or some software that will do the conversion.

What good is the Video if you can't do anything with it?

Downloaded some free/trial-ware, but had problems with fails. Guessing, though I really didn't want to, I'll have to use Quicktime for now. At least it works. Too bad Media Player 10 doesn't have native support for this format. I'm saddened by this.

Still though, this is one kick-ass Treo (less the memory issue).
