I've had the phone for about a week so far -- overall it's a useful device but I have run across several annoyances like this that make me like it a lot less. I also hate having the "all or nothing" choice between showing speed dials vs. not showing them at all. For example, I want a quick key for a number of my contacts without having to show the speed dial on my Today screen. |
Several things, I found the most convienent way to deal with dialing is using the voice command, first I assigned the "Hold Side" button to voice command (settings/buttons/Hold Side), then you just speak "Call Jon S on Mobile".
Also, you do not need to have the speed dial display on to assign and use speed dial. Under Menu/Speed Dial Options set up the users you want, then turn off speed dial under "menu/preferance/today".
