Deleting Email Accounts - Treo Forums

This seems like it should be an easy thing to do, but does anyone know how to delete an email account from the Treo 700w?

From the Messaging/Tools I went into Manage Folders and Options, but none of them give an option to delete the account.

...you can delete or clear the folders, but how does one delete an account?

Start>>>Messaging>>>Tools>>>Accounts tab

Point and HOLD the stylus on the account you want to delete and a <delete> option will appear. Click on <delete> if you want to delete that email account.

On my phone it is found this way so I don't know if others were searching around too ...

Start>>>Messaging>>>Menu>>>Tools>>>Options (which brings up the list of accounts and THEN you can point and hold on an account to delete it)

Thank you Darren, I have been trying to do this for 2 wks now tried to follow instructions in the book but never worked. I followed your instructions and it worked like a charm.

Silky - Pardon the interruption, newbie here, but did you find a solution to deleting emails in your host email program while deleting on the Treo? I thought you asked this before but I didn't see the response or if my suggestion worked. Thanks!

Hello,

I have a question. I deleted the Outlook Email Account at some point. Not sure why I did that. Does anyone know how to get it back in the list. The funny thing is that it works fine and I get my outlook mail without any issues.

Also does anyone know how to add outlook mail to my today screen so i can see if there is any unread mail etc?
