Default Deleting Emails

I sync my Treo on my company exchange server wirelessly. The problem is, if I delete an email on my Treo, it also deletes it on my desktop/server.

On my Crackberry, it would prompt me as to what type of delete I wanted to do.

I have talked to our Admin, and to the guys at Verizon, and they went .....

Anyone out there know where I can adjust this setting?

Hmmmm.... so you basically want to POP the account for email. Rather than syncing with Exchange, can you simply set up the account as a POP3 account. You'd lose your ability to sync with the desktop, but your all of your mail would remain on the desktop PC.

Not all too familiar with Exchange..

If your using IMAP to connect to the server then you are effectively syncing your folders so your inbox, sent items, etc will always show the same thing regardless of where you access your email from. You could go the pop3 route as Chris said and that should provide you with what you need. of course your sys admins will have to enable pop3.

Haven't others discussed that the built in POP3 on the 700 is really an inbox sync? Meaning, it doesn't download/store the messages? If you delete them from the server, then the Treo won't hold them anymore.

Not sure, never used it...

Oh, and I wouldn't expect to see Microsoft add the feature you're looking for. Their goal is a hub/spoke synchronication topology with the Exchange server in the hub, and the spokes going out to Outlook, Outlook Web Access, Outlook Mobile Access, Server-Activesync, etc...
