I was recently informed that work will no longer pay for my phone
but they said I could keep the hardware. and number

well I would be happy just to use it as a pda / phone and skip the whole wan thing.

what is the best way to disable the wan?
one option is to creat a dummy connection and tell the phon to use it when ever not connected to usb
but then if you indaverntley try to connect it asks to log in. I would rather just skip the whole thing.

I would sign up for pay as you go data but just never use it. then i cna just move my hone to a friends and family plan. I already know I can keep my number.
