Dialing numbers... - Treo Forums

I can't believe I'm asking this... I've spent about 30 hours with the 700 since Friday, and I love it...

Ummmm, how do I just start dialing numbers? It appears that I have to hit the black button to dial numbers first or else I get names... default setting somewhere?

if you just keep entering the number (without hitting the black option key), it will automatically change the letters to numbers...if i'm not mistaken, it waits until it has elimitated all the possible address book entries you're trying to type....after it eliminates all the possible entries, it shows the numbers

That's it! Try dialing a number that begins with 772 as the area code and you'll see the number appear..unless of course you have a contact that begins with X.
