Default Disabling touch screen while in call?

I'm pretty regularly hitting accidental buttons with my cheek, ear, glasses et when in call and next thing i know I'm in a conference call with my girlfriend and boss! Is there any way to disable touch-screen while you're in a call??

Also...does anyone have issues connecting to internet for both emails and i.e.?? If i'm not already connected it takes me like 5-6 tries until I'm connected and my phone is a new 700wx with Verizon!

Thanks ahead of time to any who help

Hello there
If you go to Settings/Personal tab/Keyguard there is the option there to disable the touchscreen while on a call.

My own 700wx connects perfectly here in NZ to the Telecom network - perhaps its an ISP problem or you are in an area with poor databand coverage??
Good luck on finding the answer.

You still may accidently hit a key or series of keys that may activate a program on the screen while in a call. I have the screen disable but still get a time settings dialog box on screen when the call is over or sometimes windows media player.. I know thats from hit the side button thats defaulted to WMP
