Do you need MS OFFICE on your pc to work with the 700w? - Treo Forums

I'm considering getting a Treo 700w, but do you need MS OFFICE installed on your PC or does Windows Mobile have all that? Is all the software needed on the install cd that comes with the 700?

The Treo 700w comes with Excel, Word, IE, etc.

The CD will have Activ Sync software on it so that you can load progrma, browse folders, etc.

Those versions are for the 700w only though. The Treo does not come with versions for your PC.

Can you still use the calendar functions on your PC and sync them to you smartphone? Like with Palm OS? You don't need to have outlook installed on your PC in order to use the calendar on the 700W?
