We always welcome new members and contributions to the discussion.
As the site admin, I have always allowed sites/links in signatures. One of our senior members and greatest contributors (alex_matthews) has a large Treo site. I'm sure there have been quite a few folks that have found his site through his links and that's perfectly fine. I can't thank Alex enough for his valued contributions to this site and I'm happy to pass a little traffic to his site.
That being said, there have been quite a few who have come here under the guise of making a contribution, only to start promoting their own site. Additionally, on a daily basis, I remove spammers and spam from the site. Although I didn't email you and hadn't planned to, I could see why you were perceived to be a bit spammy. You username having your URL, newly created Treo site with a "store on the way".
To sum up, I welcome your contribution and you are free to keep your signature with links to your new site. I'd just ask that you limit the promotion of your site to just that.
And, by the way, there is a site dedicated to coverage of the Windows Mobile Treo -- our sister site --
TreoMobile. News specific to the Treo 700w not covered here on ET is over at
TreoMobile.
Questions, concerns about this...please feel free to send me a PM.
Good luck with your new site.
