Does Handwriting and Calligrapher Work? - Treo Forums

I'm thinking about replacing my Dell Axim PDA and cellular phone with the Treo 700wx. I have learned that Pocket Informant works with the Treo but I need to know if the Treo is capable of taking my hand written items and converting them to text like my PDA. I generally enter tasks, appointments, etc., into PI by writing them on the screen- it's faster for me. My preferred handwriting recognition program is Calligrapher. If the Treo can't handle this, it may be a deal-breaker.

Calligrapher works with the Treo700w (Windows Mobile 5). I think there's even an update to Calligrapher since the version that I bought that worked with it.

If you get it you can alway try the trail version.

I got the trial and it works but not right. I have to open the Calligrapher keyboard before I can write. I think I'll uninstall and reinstall it. It works flawlessly with the Axim and is a must have for me (unless there's other handwriting recognition software that's better). I do a lot of work on my PDA in airports, on planes, and sitting in conference rooms and the handwriting to text conversion works very well for me. I don't want the Treo to make it a painful process.

Any others have problems with Calligrapher or similar software?
