Dropping a Call

Hello - I'm experiencing a HUGE problem when I have two calls. Here's my situation.
1.When I'm on the line with a person, and I need to take another call that comes in; all is well. BUT.... when I'm finished with the second person... I CAN'T SWITCH BACK. My screen shows the call that's on hold (grayed out) and the call that I'm trying to end (says active). My 700wx won't allow me to get back to the other person I started with. So I have to HANG UP on the first caller and then call them back. I don't know WHY I can't just switch back to them. Next, when I'm on a call, and need to make another call to get information, I can't get back to the first call then either. Even if I conference, and one of the calls drop; I can't get the dropped call disconnected without hanging up the one I want to continue with.

Can anyone help?

Yes... I JUST want to be able to do like other cell phones. Hear a beep, take the call, then go back. It HANGS UP EVERYBODY!
