"Error opening the shortcut or..."

I have problems with the shortcuts becoming corrupted somehow and I do not know how to fix. For example: When I hit Option+Send, I should get IE to open...now I am getting an error that says "Error opening the shortcut or locating the target filename".

This has happened several times in the past with other shortcuts, but I just dealt with it until I did a Hard Refresh. But I have several out now and I dont want to to the refresh. Unfortunately, my Sprite backs up what I would assume to be the registry settings as well and a refresh and backup jsut restores the problems.

Anyone got any ideas?
