Default Group Text/MMS/ Email?

Does anyone know how do send group SMS/MMS/ Emails? The messaging program on older PPC Smartphones allows you to sort your contacts by groups and "click and drag" select the contacts you want to send to. Or you could use the contacts program and do the same "tap and drag" to select the contacts you want to send to. However on the 700w you cant "tap and drag" select.

Anyone got a solution?

When you make an email/MMS/TEXT message click the "To:" This will open your contact list. Select a name then hit "To:" again to add more names from you list.

As a tip also. You can CC: and BCC: email by tapping up when you create a new email.

Default Is there a better way?

Is there a way to select more than one contact at a time? It would take forever to tap on each contact to add to a message. Is there a program that can set up groups for sending messages?

Are you using Outlook on your desktop? If so, you could create a distribution list. Not sure how that would sync, ie, would the Treo recognize it? Worth a shot.

Default I wish

Yeah that would be great if the treo would sync the distribution list from outlook. Unfortunately I tried that also with no luck. Thanks though. Any other thoughts. What about 3rd party programs for setting up group text msgs? Anyone? Is there a program for the 650?

John,

There is a work around. Jeyo Mobile Extender for Outlook will allow you to send text msgs from Outlook through your phone. Your distribution lists could reside in Outlook. This will not work when you are away from the pc though.
