Default Help! SUV Ran Over my Treo 700w

That was the start of my day... So now I have a 700w that still powers up but I cannot read the screen or connect with Active Sync. Does anyone know if there's another way (like removing hardware) to get at the data on the unit? I have a replacement unit (glad I got the insurance) and would like to salvage the contacts and other data.
Guess it's better the Treo than Meo...

its possible that your cellphone carrier will be able to retrieve the numbers with their number-transfer setup, but if they can, it'll ONLY be the phone numbers. I know when this happend to my treo, i could not sync but verizon was able to retrieve only my phone numbers.

How did your phone get run over??

Default SUV Ran Over My Treo

The phone fell off of its clip in a parking lot and with my hands full of stuff I didn't get to it before the SUV did.

When I went to my local Verizon store they said they couldn't help me because they could not see and use the screen. Was your screen operational when you had the phone numbers transferred?

    Thanks, Brad

If you were using outlook your contacts, calendar and anything else that you had set up to sync would be on the desktop and a sync should restore.

this may be a stupid question, but have you tried just powering up the unit, connecting the hotsync cable and pressing the sync button? only other solution i can think of would be contact a parts house for a replacement screen, which might be too pricey for a trashed unit

What have you got to lose by trying robert93's idea? If that does not work try pdaparts.com or performancepda.com for the price of the screen or a quoate to fix. I dealth with performancepda.com for a torx driver and screw for the antenna when my 650 antenna broke. They have parts for treos. check them out if you need to.
