Help with VPN setup

One of the reasons I was interested in this Smartphone (or any Smartphone I suppose) was that they claimed to be able to connect to a VPN and I require one of those for the Exchange Server where I work. I can connect from my laptop at home so I know I have all the settings correct (server, username, password, etc.). On the phone it has an option for Domain but my laptop connection does not have that option so I left it blank on the phone. Each time I try with any setting for my VPN connection I can not seem to connect.

Does anyone on here have a VPN connection that works on your phone? If so then how does it compare to a similar VPN connection on your home computer that you connect to work?

does your company have web based email? If so, use your company's web address for your server. ex. mail.web.company.com
