Hide the bottom bar!!!

Is there any way to auto-hide the bottom bar which is worthless? It has a keyboard icon an then tells you that there is a menu. Big deal. It takes up 15% of the damn screen. Isn't there a "full screen" mode? Who needs to see it? I hope there is a registry hack if there isn't at least an option that I couldn't find.

Try iLauncher fromSBSH which puts icons in the bottom tray that can be launched with one click!
