I hooked up my Treo to my desktop and drag/dropped mp3's to the "My Music" folder in the Treo. Everything flows smoothly, the files convert by themselves but when I search for the music in the Treo nothing shows up. Can anyone help me?
you need to sync your music in with window media player. Basically open windows media center. plug in you palm. click sync tab. If you dont see your palm on the right side hit f5 on your PC. Now just drag and drop what you want to sync there.
This may also just be due to the need to manually update the library. I carry a lot of music on my 700 on a 4GB SD card. When I add new music, either manually through the file explorer, or via WMP, it will not show up on my device until I update the library.
To do so, just start Windows Media Player on your device, then from the menu select "Update Library..."
Over the course of a minute or two (depending on how many tracks you have), it will seek out new media tracks and catalog them properly. If you have the music on an SD card, as I do, make sure that you have selected that library prior to doing the update. Not sure if that matters, but it might.
