Dont listen to the above thread. Your 700wx has Windows Medial Mobile Player 10. It plays all Audio and Video Files. I would suggest you purchase a SD card,1GB or higher depending on how many songs you want on it. An average MP3 song is approx 3-5 MB's. You would use all you storage memory up quickly if you save them to your phone.
I currently have a 2GB card and I have 218 MP3 songs and 2 short video clips with 175 MB to spare. Because I am a Treo nut and want all to get the most out of the $500+ you paid for your Treo, So I'm going to walk you through it.
You can do several things:
1) You can purchase music online at Rhapsody.com or other sites (must pay but worth it).
2) You can freely download individual songs you want on Limwire.com (Have to be careful about piracy and Viruses.
3) Or you could do my favorite, MAKE YOUR OWN MP3'S.
Here's how: Go to Best Buy or another digital store, and purchase either of these 2 things. "Magix MP3 maker". Or "Nero Suite 7".
IF you have Windows XP or higher, you should have Nero Suite 6. This program is good but wont let you enocode alot of songs from CD's. If you go out and buy the upgrade, Nero Suite 7 you can do EVERYTHING AND MORE.
What I do is I take my entire CD collection... pick out all the songs that I love and convert them to MP3 format. After you have converted all your favorite songs to MP3 format. Save them on you SD card. Insert your SD card to you 700wx, go to Menu> Windows Media Player>and you should see a screen that shows "music, my video, My play list & Now Playing. Click on Menu, then click "Update Library". Your Library will update until you see "Done" at the bottom of your screen. Click Done, which will return you to the previous menu.
Click on MY MUSIC then ALL MUSIC. You should see your songs listed in order. Click and Play the song you want. You can eve set the player up to shuffle your music.........I promise you that you will never buy an entire CD again once you see how easy it is do so.
Good Luck,
