How much better is 700w than 650?

Hello, I just got my TREO 650 over the weekend. I guess I would have like to get the 700w but it was $200 more. I didn't think it was that much better, or is it? Verizon wireless now has a deal that sells the 700w for $299 after a $200 mail-in-rebate that could convince me to go ahead and get the 700w if I someone could tell me if the 700w is well worth the extra money.

I heard something about the resolution on the 700w is less than the 650? Is this true? I believe the camera is better on the 700w and it runs on Windows which may make it easier for compatibility issues. My main question is will I still be able to transfer all of my Palm data from my previous PDA into the 700w? Is the 700w compatible to with PALM contacts and Calander data? Would Palm software be able to be used on the 700w as well? Sorry for all the questions...

Hopefully I am not starting or continuing a religious war here, but I would not use 'better'. I'd say different, and a little more functional.

The 600 series is a tried and true platform, the best of its kind. It will do you well.

The 700 series is brand new, Palm's first venture into the WM5 arena. We early adopters are experiencing the pain of being on the bleeding edge while enjoying the benefits of this fantastic new device.

Enjoy your 650. When you're done with it, the 700 series will be even better than it is now.

I have never used a 650 but my 700 is awesome... To my understanding the screen resolution isnt that big of a differance. There is a differance but not a lot.
The camera is better, its 1.3 meg. and have had no problems with printing programs or compatibilitys.
I understand that you can transfer 650 data to the 700 by just syncing it and for the software. No, you cannot use the Palm software on a Windows based phone, two differant programs. Hope this has helped.

in addition to what Bud says above, the 700w has dsl-like internet connection speeds and is WiFi capable with a SDIO card insert (about $90). Bottomline - do you want Palm or Windoz? And do you want faster internet?
