HI everyone, I am new to this board. Didn't find a intro page, so I guess I'll just start asking away...

In about hmm... 5 hours FEDEX will deliver my Treo650 [refurbished]. Cingular go the refurbs right now for only $139 with a 2 year contract.

Then I looked at verizon, and they already have the 700. [and it does look sooooo whoohoo]

I have a regular phone right now. I don't use it much. Let's say it like this I have about 3500 rollover minutes left.

I know I would use the web access much more.

I have never seen any Treo in action, so I am not sure at all what to do/get.
How many of you had trouble with the 650? Alot of freezes? What's alot? Like once a day? [I could handle that I guess]. Can't deal with the darn thing freezing everytime I'll add an address, check messages or browse the web.

Can someone lead me in the right direction? All I am asking for is short posts about your experiences.

IMHO the 700w rocks. I love it. Its pretty much rock solid. I've only had it crash once since I got it, and I was trying to make it crash to see its limits.

I was on the phone (speakerphone) sending text messages, had PIE open (wasn't browsing), and nothing happen. it worked fine. then, i tried to open Pocket windows media player, and then it locked up, completely. had to reset. the phone is really good at multitasking. Did I mention that I had EVDO access to my laptop going when that phone call came in. It seem to pause the connection allow me to take the call, and then it automagically resume my connection w/ my laptop. good deal. my coworkers still complain about how their 650 crashes on them.

What were you doing to accomplish this? I know, I know, Verizon doesn't want you to do this. I used PDANet, and it seemed pretty good. They don't have Bluetooth yet, which I'd REALLY prefer...

I used the 650 for over a year with Sprint. It's great. Hardly ever had to reset it. Works good as a modem. I just got the 700 because I like new stuff and the high speed internet connection.

Thanks windsurfer, so you don't have fast access with the 650 then? See that's stuff I miss when I read through reviews. lol.
I probably will access the internet a lot with it.
I have received my 650 yesterday, but it doesn't work yet. I'll have to call them today I guess. I still have time to call verizon and call cingular.
