IMAP Problems & Treo700w, Weird Folders -- Inbox.Sent? Hey guys,
Thanks for checking out this post. I've been trying to figure out what’s wrong with my IMAP account on my TREO 700w for a while now and have been getting nowhere. I use a friend’s FreeBSD server to host my IMAP account and everything works perfect when I use it with Thunderbird on my PC.
However, when I add my account to my Treo it structures my folders in such a weird way, it renders it nearly useless.

It seems as if when I send a message the Treo wants to put my mail in the Sent Items folder, but there is no folder called Sent Items on my server. My real folder for my "sent" stuff seems to be the folder labeled Inbox.Sent. I also have no idea why its calling it Inbox.Sent --- Its like it’s interpreting my server all wrong. As far as I know there is nothing odd with the way my server is set (I'm told I'm using Courier for my e-mail)
Also One other problem while I'm writing... I have my IMAP server to check my mail every 15 minutes. It never ever does it!! --- What’s wrong with this thing?? I don't know if it’s important to mention that I also have my exchange server pushing my mail from my office account. Can I not have this thing check more than one e-mail account?
Any help would be appreciated... I've had great luck with this site in the past maybe I'll get the same luck again.
This problem is really aggravating me
THANKS!! |
