instant messenging and ringtones

Sorry I just got my Treo like 2 hours ago. Treo 700wx Verizon.
I had a Q once and was able to create ringtones and put them on it. Can you do the same on the Treo? How?

Also is there something similar to the Mobile IM verizon has on their others phones on the Treo?

I was signed into my moblie IM on my other phone when verizon switched it out it was almost like it was connected the same...cause when i came home it gave me the same notification messege. But I can't figure it out

any music that u have in your windows media can be a ringtone..all u have to do is go to sounds, hit manage hit add sound and pick music that is on your sd card or on your hard drive.
