Default Is there a way to clear recently dialed numbers

Hello. I love the new 700W and am slowly working my way through some minor issues issues.

One question I have is, is there a way to clear the recently dialed numbers from the popup menu that appears when you press the Phone/Send button? Alternatively is there a way to restrict the number of calls that display in the list to just the last call or two. It is just a small privacy issue that I'd like to have a solution for. I may not always want anyone I let look at my phone to be able to see the last 9 numbers I've dialed.

Thanks,

Mike

Yes, press PHONE, then Call Log. Hit the MENU Button and you can Delete All Calls.

I haven't found a preference for deleting or limiting the recently dialed calls yet.

Default I may not be doing right but I think I already tried that.

Thanks Chris, I had tried that as a first step since it seemed the most obvious solution. Unfortunately it seems to only clear the call logs. It oddly doesn't seem to clear the list of recently dialed numbers that appears when you press the phone button unless I'm missing something.

That's odd. You're right. I just did the same thing. I don't notice anything in Contact preferences to allow you to clear this either.

It seems like there should be a way to clear this. I just tried a soft reset and that didn't work either. Curious. I guess they figure it is an essential feature and we'd always want those numbers handy. If you run across a solution at some point, I'd be interested.

I will let you know. As a Treo 650 owner, it's been interesting to see the differences between the two. One of the things lacking on the 700w is the ability to call "any" number from a specified speed dial contact. On the Treo 650, you could press the space bar and immediately access any number from that particular contact.

I guess we'll start to see either third party software or updates to the OS that offer similar features.

Default Found The Fix!!

Found this on another site and it works!!

"Here is the answer to clearing the Send button recently dialed list.

Go to Start, Programs, File Explorer and under "My Device" delete the "PALMVOL" file."

If all else fails, some registry editing or a hard reset always works...
