Just got my Treo..

I bought my treo, just because i needed something for work. So I then realized everytime someone would send me a picture message i would get charged for using DATA?... I have another phone so I decided to have them block the data off for this one. Will I continued to be charged for it? Im confused cause I have never used a PDA phone before. And it constantly says 1x on the top of my phone then goes back to Ev.. does that mean anything?

You really need to get the skinny from your provider. Bad information is costly - get it from the people who you "trust."

I agree with benjie, it's in your (and your wallet's) best interest to find out exactly (down to the most minute little thing) what your plan covers. It take very little to end up with a suprisingly monstrous phone bill!

The 1x and EV on your phone is just telling you what network you're covered by.
