Hi Chris,
First, let me say that I hope your wife gets well, as soon as possible.

Secondly, Am I a bit jealous about you having the first 700w?? Yep, a bit.

Under the 650 blogs I will put in my adventures in travelling with a Treo.

Peace,
GeoK

Congratulations on your new acquisition chris!!! I've been reading a lot of reviews that the resolution is terrible? Is it really that bad or is there only a slight difference?

I asked for a review... apparently the list is long and they didn't have one. Hmmmmm? They suggested I go to a Verizon dealer, so off I went.

Thanks everyone for the well wishes... my wife is doing MUCH better today and she's coming home tomorrow.

I wouldn't say that at all. It comes with a few stock photos and they look pretty good. My use has been very minimal. I must say the web looked great on it. There are some minor annoyances cropping up, but that's to be expected. When scrolling left to right, I kept tapping the Back button. I'm guessing there are options to remove this navigation bar at the bottom, but I haven't had a chance to delve too far into the preferences or read the manual.

-Chris

Default I also picked up my Treo 700w today

Hey Chris I also just bought the treo 700w from Circuit City (verizon store) seems there selling them sooner than the Verizon Stores in my area. So far im in love I played with the 650 and this windows OS is fast compared to my old PDA. I have not tried out email though web browsing is fast and aceptable for a phone/pda device.. MUCH better than 650's...

I also bought a motorola HS850 and have not had any real issues with it, but Im new to this. I do have a problem though getting it to VOICE dial out? is there anything special on the 650 or 700 that I must do to get my blue-tooh to dial out!??

how much is the data plan for Verizon? It is like $40.00 a month isnt it for unlimited web and email usage. If thats true, that is too high for me. I will wait till the 700 hits Sprint, and by then hopefully bugs will be worked out and it will be running like a champ.

True. But for now, Verizon is the fastest in town. (also the most expensive too.)

(knocking on wood as I say this), but I hope Sprint continues to offer tremendous value on their data packages. Having to pay more for my wireless data over my home broadband is not so hot.

i am hoping that by time a 700p or 700w hits Sprint that they havent decided to jack their data plan up in price. I pay $10.00 a month for my Treo 650 unlimited data plan now on their regular data network. I am almost tempted to buy the EVDO service just so I would have it at that price in case they jacked up the price sometime in the future.
