Keyguard & the alarm

Is it supposed to work this way?

Are the alarms not supposed to go off if Keyguard is on? I would have "assumed" that the phone would be smart enough to turn itself on. I was late for work this morning because I tried to rely solely on my 700w. Thank goodness the cat wanted to eat!

I have disabled Keyguard and am going to test it again.

I just tried it and it worked for me. It played a soft tone and vibrated. I would check your notification settings. Also click the little bell icon while setting the alarm to customize the sounds.
