Default Memory "Critically Low"

Here's the story: Over the last week or so I was having trouble hearing people when they would call me. It almost sounded like they were on speaker phone, but very low. I checked all the settings and nothing would help. I backed up my email and went the verizon store. The Tech there gave me a new phone. I set-up the email, did a sync and everything was great for a few minutes. Now I am getting an alert that says memory is critically low. I'll admit I got a few emails, but nothing very big. How could the brand new phone out of the box be having memory issues? The phone I had in the morning was the same and no warning.

Please help.

Thanks!

Just a quick question, when you got the new phone could you have reinstalled any previous programs onto the phone instead of a memory card? I know that can take up a bit of space.

Or... It sounds like you have all your information backed up onto your PC. If you dont think it was because of the previous reason you could do a hard reset to the phone. Which puts it back to factory settings. And then reload all of your contacts and programs again using your PC. Hopefully that might solve it.

This problem kind of worked itself out. The warning stopped coming and then I got a rash of large emails, which forced me to clean out my inbox and that seemed to resolve a majority of the issue. I still don't understand why the two phones would be different, memory wise, but at least I know how to AutoArchive now.

Thanks!
