Motorola Q vs. 700wx?

I'm not sure about getting an unbiased answer, but I'd like to know, since I own a Q right now, is it worth getting a Treo 700wx? Technically, I can get one for free, but I'd just like to know whether or not the differences between the two are worth it. I've never actually gotten a chance to mess around with the 700, but it seems very stable and responsive. I've been - mostly - satisfied with my Q and all of the applications one can load (Agile Messenger, Candlelight, Live Search, Map4mobi, etc) and I have NO idea what's available for the Treo. Are there any major differences in the operating system or hardware to speak of?

Edit: And allow me to add, just in case this is an issue: My friend owes m some money and has a brand new Sprint 700wx that he offered to give me; I use Alltel. I have an unlimited data plan, tethering, etc etc with Q right now and I was just planning on swapping the phones out. Is this possible? Will there be any weird issues? It sounds too easy...

I went from Q to Treo 700wx for two major reasons. The 700 has a touch screen instead of the directional buttons. The second escapes me but there was one.

I went from a 700wx to a Q and then back to a 700wx.

While I used the Q I had to swap it out twice because of problems. One problem was I bricked it during a firmware upgrade the other issue was the keyboard quit.

At first the battery life of the Q was horrendous. After disabling GPS and using candlelight it got better. I thought I was happy with it until the keyboard died and I had to go back to my 700wx. I realized how much better the Treo was. The only downside is the bluetooth. So far I have had nothing but trouble with my bluetooth headset.

I have owned both phones. The Q is a great phone, but is very quirky. I use my phone for work and just cannot rely on the Q. The wx is a more solid and reliable PHONE. The Q would be awesome if it had all the bugs worked out of it. The only thing that sucks is a lot of the software I have accumalated for the Q wont work on the Treo..

Hi there -
I had a treo 600 for a few years and wanted to go to a slimmer smartphone - so I bought a Q roughly 6 months ago. I miss my Treo!!! The battery llife is horrible, and yes, you can do things to make it better, but then you lose some functionality....ie....I have to turn off my emial sync to make the battery last longer than 8 hours. If I am traveling, I have to charge in the car to make it through the day. This is unacceptable to me. I also really miss my touchscreen. I am going back to the Treo - the 700wx.
