Favorite MP3 ringtones / Messanger

Does anybody know an application for the Treo 700w that would let me use MP3 ringtones? mRing and Ringo are not compatable yet. Also, I cannot seem to download yahoo messanger. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You don't need an additional application, it's supported by default. Other formats supported are wav, midi, and wma.

settings -> sounds & notifications -> manage is where you want to go to make changes.

You just need to assign it.

Take a look at the following from the Palm Knowledge Library.

Alex i really do appreciate your help, but it seems like everything i try doesnt work, obviously i do not know how to asign one of my mp3's as a ringtone. This is my first Treo and as you may know, with eveything it is capable of doing, it gets very frustrating when you cannot figure out a simple command.
I have all my mp3's on the windows media player library which states is in "my music", but in order to asign it, the mp3 must be in the "my music" folder. can you please explain how to do so. thank you again for ALL of your help.

I understand your frustration. I don't have a 700w to go through the steps myself, so hopefully someone with a one can help you out.

Maybe this discussion will help.

Default RE: Ringtones

There's one step that you need to do to import the MP3 into your ringtone folder. When in the manage section of the Sounds and Notifications, click menu and click "Add Sound..." Then find your mp3s stored on your treo, and select them. This copies the mp3 into a special ringtone folder on the main memory (in other words, I haven't figured out how to use ringtones and still keep them on my SD card) But once they're imported, they'll work. It works great for every ringtone I have! Good luck!
