My battery will not charge
I have a 700w and its not been charging at all lately. If it charges, it only goes up to 3% and sometime does not even charge at all. I got a new battery 3.7V, 1800mAh9min) and it still does not work. I called Palm and they said it will cost me $199 to send it in for repair. I have had this close to a year and 3 months and they said i am off their 90 day warranty.
I also used a different wall charger to make sure its not a charger problem. So far i think the problem is with the phone. Pls any help will be greatly appreciated.

My battery will not charge
I would take it back to the phone company and let them know the problem. They should exchange it for another. It's pathetic that Palm wants to charge you $200 for the phone when the phone itself is not worth that much money.

Vernon

I have this same problem with my 700P, If I use a wall or auto charger it appears to change (red LED comes on and lighting thing on the battery) but it will not change. I even bought a new battery no change. I can only charge if I use the USB sync cable.
My 700P is close to 3 years old, just waiting for the Pre to come out so I can replace it.
Who is your service provider. Sprint has re manufactured phones that they will swap out with you for 100.00 if you are not on their service plan. I also know people that have signed up for the service plan, wait a month, report a service problem swap out the phone and then drop the service plan

Thanks. What i did was i called my provider (verizon) and complained the problem to them and fortunately, they said they will replace the phone for free because i am a VIP member. I got the new phone yesterday. However, though, with my old phone, i used a Q-tip with alcohol to clean out the end where the charger goes in, kinda jammed it in but not with a lot of force. Took it out and gave it about 5 min to dry out. Plugged the wall charger and walllaaaahhhh! , both my batteries were fully charged within an hour and its been working perfect before i got the new phone. Hope that helps
WARNING: i cannot guarantee this is a safe method but it definitely worked for me and someone else.
