My Treo 700w finally arrived. I’ve been waiting for it for the past week. After playing with this Treo 700w for a few days I starting running into some issues. Issues with the Treo software and wifi sd card. The socket e500 has problems connecting to my Netgear MIMO WPN824 wireless router. My router is configured for the highest WPA[TSK] security and supposely the e500 supports both WEP and WPA[TSK], but failed to connect. I am only able to connect if I drop it to WEP or no security on the router at all. Aside from that, the e500 would "NOT" disconnect, even when I told it to turn off on the Wirelesss Mananger. I tried resetting the phone and eject the sd card, but it would only crash the Treo. I went out and purchase the palm wifi card, it was $10 cheaper than the socket e300. The only difference between the two is the e300 is shorter and doesn’t stick out from the Treo like a sore thumb. The palm wifi sd card is very stable but I still ran into the same issue with WPA and WEP. I am able to connect thru WEP and disconnect on the Wireless Manager. I've tried to stay connected overnight with the power adapter constantly charging it, but found that next morning it disconnected the pocket msn messenger. I don’t know if it timed out issue or it just ran out of memory. There is definitely a memory leak on the unit. No matter how much I cleared from the memory, i would still get 7-8MB out of 25MB total. I wish I could adjust more of the storage to go to programs area. I had to remove the battery cover and hit the reset button with my stylus to free up 15MB on program. Looks like I'll be hitting the reset button pretty often.. Overall, I really like the phone. It has a nice execute business weight to it.
