Default Need help downloading software to watch DVDs

I've had my Verizon Treo 700w for about a month and am ready to begin exploring beyond the basics.

Would anyone be willing to give me a step-by-step guide to downloading and running the core pocket media player/TCPMP program to my device and then loading movies onto it?

In the FAQs section I saw the Fair Use and the TCPMP links. I downloaded the Fair Use program and tried to copy a movie onto my computer. When I tried to watch it to see if it worked, I got a message saying I needed an additional decoder, or something. I did have audio, though. The DVD was from Netflix. Is this the problem? Is it possible to rip Netflix DVDs to your computer and drop them on the Treo. If not, then what DVD can you rip?

In terms of the TCPMP program, what exactly does it do for the Treo? I downloaded it to my computer and got probably about ten files that I don't know what to do with. How do I run this program and get it on the Treo?

We're leaving for vacation on Tuesday and I would really like to watch some movies on the flights, but I'm totally stuck. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you!

Though I can't help you with the application question, and knowing of course that it's illegal to copy a movie you don't own, if you were to make a backup of a movie that you DO own they are all encrypted to prevent copying, but due to the fair use act you're permitted to make a backup of one you own, and seeing as you would already own the movie you want to copy, I would recommend googling and then downloading a program called dvdfab decrypter. This will at least get you started by removing the encryption. On a completely different note, I don't think n3tflix or Bl0ckbust3r alter their discs from one you would purchase say at 4astings. Good luck.

Here at ET they have a download for TCMP the Core Player for Media its in the free downloads I think it should allow you to pay movies on your treo. There was an article somewhere recently about movies on your treo I dont remember which site I saw on however. Welcome to ET guys
