Newbie Question about SD Card - Treo Forums

I just got my Treo last week (It is my frist PDA/smartphone). I just bought a 2GB SD card yesterday. I read that you have to reformat the card to use on your phone. Is this true and if so how do I reformat it? Sorry for the dumb questions but I am not all that savy when it comes to compter things such as reformating etc.

have you tried just sticking the card in the slot. It probably will recognize the card and you can start using it. Thats what happened with the cards used in my 650 and the mini sd card I am using with my 750.

same here, I have an old 256mb card I used to have in my camera-formatted in from the camera and it works fine in my phone!

I put the card in and it works fine. I didn't know if there was anything else I needed to do. I've read about reformatting but I think that's above my head. LOL But if all I have to do is put it in then I'm good to go!

yeah just make sure the phone is reading the correct memory capacity of the card
