    Just bought a used treo, pretty good shape, but I found a problem powered it up, and it has a locked password on it from whoever may owned it before me. Anyway to get this password off of the unit?

    The password cannot be altered/removed without knowing what it is. Due to the device being in a locked state at power-up, the only option is to hard reset it. This means that 3rd party applications/data on the device will be deleted.

    I don't need anything on it..I just need the PW gone, so hard resetting it will get rid of that?

    my kids were playing some games on my treo and somehow a password was added to lock the phone. I've tried to enter a password but have to wait now for almost 20 hours in order attempt it again. I have it synced with the desktop....how do you do a hard reset and start from scratch???
