Picsel Viewer on 700W

Several of us at work have Verizon Palm 700Ws with Picsel Viewer factory installed. We can only read about 10% of PDFs that we get (from many sources). Usually are just looking at blank page. Sometimes get "Memory Full" message even if we have no memory used. Are there settings we haven't changed or are others having same problem? Group is computer literate but can't solve problem. Verizon says it is Palm's problem, Palm says it is Picsel's problem, Picsel says it is Verizon's problem yada,yada,yada. Help please.

I got so fed up with the un-usablity of the Picsel PDF viewer, that I tried several alternatives.

1. Adobe's Reader for the Pocket PC (free) (www.adobe.com)
2. Foxit PDF Reader for the Pocket PC (20.00 with a free trial) www.foxitsoftware.com

I tried both. I spent the $20.00 and went with the Foxit PDF reader as it is smaller and loads faster than the Adobe reader. With the Foxit PDF reader I can open the pdf version of the Treo 700 user manual.

Just my experience and opinion.

Sorry to hear of your frustration. I haven't had any problems with Picsel Viewer though. Hope you get it going.

I find that the Picsel pdf viewer can handle small pdf files, but cannot handle large ones; that is why I changed to Foxit.

BTW: the adobe can also open the Treo 700W pdf manual. It just takes a long time to load and takes up more storage space than Foxit.

Although I am not a Verizon customer, I frequently browse through the software updates on http://palm.com(for my Treowx/Sprint) and I thought I saw something about the Picsel Viewer for Verizon customers under Solutions. They have it listed by carriers, so you should be able to find it easily. Good luck, Shannon
