Default Playing .WAV files

I use Vonage for our office phone, and it emails us our voicemails. Well, I can't listen to .WAV files... I click on it, and the little screen with the green Play button, and the little green Phone (set to ringer) button appear.

When I click the Play button, nada...

Any thoughts?

the problem is that your windows media player on your phone is set up to use 3g2 files. So wav files will not play. Im still trying to find a converter. It also wont work sending the file to our computer from your phone if using windows media, your going to have to use real player

What is a 3g2 file? Why does Windows mobile not play the standard wav file.

I get the Windows Mobile piece, but, since the 1st version, Windows Media Player for Windows has played standard .WAV files. It still works perfectly there with no plugins.

cancel what i said before. I dont have vonage so i called the company and asked if they could send a sample recorded voicemail, they did and i got the same screen that you described with the green play and green phone button to add to a ringer. it played perfectly fine for me. Are you sure that your sounds are all up. make sure and check the side button for both volume and ringer. check the sounds in system icon and make sure they to are up.

HERE IS YOUR PROBLEM. Your WAV. files that come from Vonage are encrypted by their software. Because they are encrypted into a WAV. file it will play in on your windows media player (desktop) as an extension to a WAV. file. Your 700wx wont recognize or play extensions of a WAV file.

I am a federal agent and i get my email audio attachments sent to my 700wx. The only thing i can do is wait to check it on my desktop until Palm updates windows mobile media player.

Or maybe someone knows of a 3rd party program that will play WAV/MP3 file extensions.

32G IS THE FORMAT PALM CAMERA'S USE TO MAKE VIDEO'S (BOTH 700P & 700WX). 700WX WILL PLAY ALL STANDARD WAV FILES. IF THERE IS A PROBLEM DUE TO A FILE EXTENSION... CONVERT THE FILE USING WINDOWS MOVIE MAKER . ALL WINDOWS XP SHOULD HAVE IT IN THE PROGRAMS.
