Default Problems with Daylight savings... everytime!

Okay... this doesnt have anything to do with the recent update...

BUT, every single time there is a savings time change... my phone kinda loses it. all of the calender entries have to bedeleted and redone because the time on them changes... they move an hour ahead for some reason even though when you actually go in to edit the event... it still says the same time.
any suggestions?

Did you install DST software? Palm sent out email stating you must download and install this software. Also Outlook needs to be updated. Check Microsoft web site for that. Hope this helps.

Are you on a company network with the treo? If you are any any other computers or pdas have not updated that can throw yours off everytime you synch. I had probs initially w my 750 but they settled down and quit changing after a couple of times of changing the time on the pda and the appointments in the pda and outlook knock on wodd.

Well I had to run the update programs twice before it ran properly I think I was not reading the insructions properly. It would have made a lot more sense for MS to have pushed the dst updates for outlook and windows through automatic updates and then palm could have done the same to everybody registered with them either the palm os update or wm update but I guess thats 2 logical and 2 easy. I think one reason for my lack of success the first time was no updating to AS 4.5. After I did that it went well. I was leery of AS 4.5 as had no problems with 4.2 with the 750 and past bad experiences with installations of AS2 through 3 point whatever including upgrades. But it went well other than telling me I was connecting to two different computeres which I was not But that became a non issue and things went well other than quite a few duplicate task entries. Manually resolved that over several hours last night.

Did you upgrade to AS 4.5? If not do so. Are you running Windows XP with SP 2 if so your computer should have been updated by automatice updates. You can run microsoft update and if you have no high priority updates to install you are good to go with the desktiop. If you use outlook it has to be updated as well there is an update for that as well. Then you need to download and run the mobile device update and while you device is plugged into the synch/charge cables and your computer download and run the mobile decice update. It should be set to tyhe right time and you may to run the tzmove to update andthen synchronize the data. Its kind of cumbersome. If you do a hgard reset you will need to reinstall and if you get appointments from any decive that has not been updated it will mess up those appointments and you may need to run it again. You should have gotten an email from you cell phone service with links to the MS site for all the updates needed and articles to assist. There's a lot f info and some of it will not apply to your sitauation but you need to read itr carefully anfd follow and you should be able to get it working right. It wont work right without AS 4.5 however. PERIOD. why I dont know but it wont.
