Default Ran update 1.1 and now ActiveSync doesn't work

Ran update 1.1 on my 700w w/ Verizon with no problems. When I tried to sync with ActiveSync it tries to connect and then times out and indicates that it is not connected. ActiveSync was working fine before the update. I tried to reinstall ActiveSync and also installed it on a new pc. It didn't work on either one. Any suggestions???

Default The fix that worked for me!

I followed the following to get ActiveSync to work after installing the update. It seems that mnay have to re-establish the device to the PC after the install

1. Make Sure the Treo 700W is NOT connected to the PC
2. Open ActiveSync on the PC
3. Click on File, Delete Mobile Device
4. Connect the Treo to the PC (this starts the establishment of the connection between the PC and the Treo
5. Follow the instructions.


These worked for me; your results may vary.

Don't be insulted, but it helps to double-check that you followed the update instructions completely. Did you do steps #7 (delete temp files) and #8 including the *228?

What version of ActiveSync? Have you tried the new beta?

Also, in the ActiveSync Connection Settings on the PC, try changing it from "automatic" to "Internet".
