Reminders not 'reminding'

All of a sudden, my reminders stopped. All the setting are correct, both the calendar and task reminders just stopped! The alarm went berzerk too. It won't stop ringing ~ even when I uncheck all the options including sounds, it keeps going off.
What on earth happened?

After some extensive research on here, I'm concluding that its an common, defined problem with no specific answer. I've tried all the resets, etc. I hope Palm is actively trying to fix the problem.
