    Question saving contacts on the PC???

    Could somebody please help me walk through the process of backing up my contacts on my computer please? I have both Windows XP and Vista so someone with either operating systems help would be much appreciated!!

    Windows XP and Vista have programs in them for backing up data and programs and you can go that to a file and then rip a cd or dvd is you have a burner or save it a flash drive or tape drive or other storage device supported by the program. Look in your user guide or on line help for specifics.

    I have Windows XP. All of my contacts, calendar and email are saved on my destop to Microsoft Outlook. So I i want to update anything I launch Outlook and make changes.. YOUR PROBLEM is probably when you hot sync your treo is not backing up to your computer... When you hot sync your treo it will go thourgh all the steps and show that everything is good.. once you finish your first hot sync you need to go to TOOLS> OPTIONS. There you should see all the boxes that are being hot synced to your treo.. Im guessing that you need to check the contacts box and re sync... Then all of your contacts should sync to your Microsoft Outlook.. Good luck

    also, if you go to tool-> options, click the settings buttons, there is an option where "if there is a conflict" there is a drop down for "replace item on desktop" or "replace item on device" so which ever you have made the changes, remember to change this option to what ever suits to what your doing with the backup.

    I have a similar problem but it doesn't give me the option to check the boxes for my contacts and everything else I want, the only thing is syncs is windows media player and file explorer I think it is. My contacts or anything else I cannot get to sync!

    on my 750 if I go to programs active sync click on it and go to options it gives me a dialogue box with the ability to check or uncheck those items I want active sync to sync. Do you have that ability? Check and see if you and that may solve your issue.

    I have the same problem... it won't let me check the contact box!!! Would we then have to back the files up on an SD card as opposed to a PC?

    If you are using the sprite backup program (if you dont have that on your installation cd I'm sorry as stated in have the 750 it should be backing everything up to the card. Maybe your conatcts db is corrupt on your treo and thats causing a problem. Maybe you need to uninstall and reinstall the treo software
