SD Card HELP!! - Treo Forums

I recently got the treo 700wx and am having issues with my SD card. When I insert it the device finds it and I get a message saying, "A storage card was inserted. Do you want to search it for audio and video files?" However, I can never find the MP3's that I have on the SD anywhere on my device. I know there are songs on there because I can listen to them on my MP3 player. How do I listen to the songs I have on my SD card?

Also when I leave the SD card in the card slot I continuously get the storage card message. What do I do to be able to leave my SD card in and not get this message?

open windows media player, at the bottom left click Now Playing then at the botton click the little playbutton with the plus sign, then in the upper left you have to change the dropdown menu to Storage Card and finally click My Music twice and you should see the music from the storage card. This works for me, I'm sure there's an easier way but this is all I got for ya

press start select windows Media press menu and select library select the library list in the upperleft and then select the library you want to use. If you cant find a media file on your expansion card update the library to play a file not in a library go the library screen and press menu and select open file select the item you want to play press play (left action key) not sure about second question. I don't listen to music yet on my 750. The above info is from the 750 user guide. Should be the same for your 700

I am having the same problem. It is so annoying. Did you ever figure out how to get the message to stop without taking the SD out?

If it was not recognized I would say thatit inserted wrong or not making good contact with the internal contact points of the treo. Therer have been reports of bad or counterfeit storage cards that dont work properly Have you tried another card and if so did behave the same way? Maybe you have some lint or dust down in your sd slot get a flashlight and check it out. Just a couple of thoughts

KSB no I haven't figured it out yet. I've just been keeping the dummy SD card in the slot. Also with all the information I've got for playing my music I still can't get it to work right. I still haven't tried using another card though so that's my next step.

For me I found saying no but then if you go to Menu, Library and update Library it finds all the files, add's them to the play list and you can start listening. I am using a plain old Sandisk 2Gb card (with the top slightly filed down to be the same form as the Treo.

Hit the windows key, go to settings, memory, running programs and shut down WMP that will stop the message from popping up all the time when not viewing WMP.
