Setting up email on Treo
New to the Treo 750wx (Verizon) and would like to setup email access only for the purposes of when I'm away from the office; however, my fear is that I will have duplicate emails on both my desktop and Treo. Email volume is fairly significant.
Is there a setup option or a 3rd party software to avoid this? Any other workaroounds?

I use the 700wx and this service for the same function. Yes, email will remain duplicated on PC and phone as long as you don't delete it off of one of the devices. If you delete email from your phone it will delete from your PC as well. If you have read the email or responded to email from your phone but do not wish to delete the email the message will show as "read" in your PC's inbox. Messages replied, forwarded, created and sent from your phone will also reside in your PC's sent folder until you take action to delete or file the messages elsewhere. All in all, I have adapted my work habits to wireless sync and don't know what I'd do without it anymore.

I had a similar situation that you did and figured out a work-around. I need to receive my emails while I'm out and be able to respond if necessary, but when I get back to my laptop, I do not need to sync outlook so that I end up with duplicates because I don't always send a full reply from my phone. In other words, I want to say "I'm on the road and will get back to you with that", then delete the email and pick up where I left off when I'm back without having to worry that the sync feature is going to delete or dup, or change it to read, etc.
I unchecked the sync option for email on my Treo, and set it up as a "new" email account, which happens to be gmail. Now I can receive all of my emails on my phone and on my laptop and when I sync these two do not interfere with each other.
Not sure if that works for your situation, but I hope this helps someone.
