Alright everyone, as I have said before my cousin works for palm (marketing) and last night I was able to get updated info on the new treos coming to sprint.
1. The 755 is going to be the next genration palm os based Treo. The 755 is going to look similar to the 680 from cingular. The only beef my cousin said is that sprint does not like the demensions of the Treo 680, in short the 755 will have a bigger screen than the 680. And no.. Sprint will not have different color Treos anytime soon. Im not a big Palm OS fan so I didnt want to hear too much about this phone... sorry people. This Treo will be coming out next month.
2. Sprint will get the a Treo 750 similar to Cingulars. The 750 will feature WM6. Sprints 750 with WM6 will not come out until cingulars 750 ( to be fair i was told). This phone Im told will be similar to cingulars 750 with possibly a bigger screen. It will be 320x320 and will have threaded chat SMS (YES!). It will support push email and all that good stuff as well as up to 4GB SD cards. But all in all it will be slimmer, lighter and more durable than the 700wx.
3. Here is the good news Both phones will be REV A phones on Sprints EVDO network and the 750 possibly might offer WIFI (Its up to Sprint). As far as it being 3G well I dont think Sprint is going that far yet. So there it is, dont shoot the messenger, but i got as much as I could for us who would lost like a muthaf*** without our Treos.

I will check into this, my mom in law works for Sprint. I have used my one discount phone for family of employee "pass" for this year, I have to wait until Feb 08 to get another cheap PDA phone.
I talked with a good friend of mine yesterday that is a manager at Sprint and he told me at this time they are not getting the 750 as it has not been approved by the company at this time.
Just sharing what I know.
Cheers!

Is your "friend" a sales or a store supervisor, because in the 7 years as a Sprint constumer I cant ever remember when an in store employee or manager to be knowledgable or accurate about Sprint phones or related products. Sprint is getting the 750 W/ WM6. As I stated eairlier Sprint has to work out the dimensions with Palm to name a few... but I dont see how you could think that Sprint would not get an updated windows based phone besides the 700wx on the largest mobile network in the country.

sprint isnt the largest, look at their map, skimpy as best, look at Cingular, the entire country is orange. But I have no complaints with Sprint they have done well for me
Well, my carrier has a two year program for new devices. Given I just bought a 700wx, I won't be upgrading anytime soon. I would be interested in paying for WM 6 on my device - note to anyone from Palm or MS that might be listening.
They are supoposed to becoming out soon with WM^ update for 750 and HSDPA support as well. There is an article about WM6 and treo 750. Will get you the url for the article in a minute
