Sync 2 Treo 700w to 1 computer???
First post, but have been lurking for a while.
My wife and I both have the Treo 700w. We would like to be able to Sync them both to our home computer for Contacts and Calander. Can this be done?
When I try to Sync them, the first one works perfect. When I go to Sync the second one, I get duplicates of all my contacts and Calander events. Do I have a setting or something messed up?
Thanks for the help.

This is just a theory:
There is probably a string (set of unique identifiers) that preface each of your contacts, calendar items, favorites etc that ActiveSync uses to determine if that contact has been modified. Given that Palm probably realize that there may be an instance of two 700w trying to sync to the same database they may have added a unique identifier (relating to the the 700w) to that original string to show point of origin.
The first time you synch'd the 700w's it was probably a 'push' from the home PC and this kicked things off nicely. However, AS in reading the information back now has to assimiliate the origin information and interpret them as 'changes' to the original.
Because AS works off of 'networking' protocols you would have to convince your home PC that both of your 700w's were more than identical, and were in fact the exact same device. Without a packet analyzer and the ability to edit and re-flash the chipsets, this is a very difficult task.
Out of curiousity, this may work with Verizon's Wireless Sync service, where you 'upload' your contacts and calendar items to their website. If you setup your account on two 700w's that might work. YMMV, GLHF!

As untechnical as I am, I think i understand. Thanks for the reply.
I am going to try the Wireless Sync option. I will keep you posted.
