Question Sync to corporate outlook

My company currently supports BBerry for pushing outlook info (email, calander) to field force. I would like to use treo 700w. is there any way to "forward" Outlook info on a real time basis to the treo?

Thanks

You can set Outlook to auto-retrieve periodically at a time interval you set. From there, you can set alerts on the Treo to be notified of new messages. The Today screen also does a good job of letting you know how many unread messages you have.

I'm in the same position as you. If you search this site, you'll see info, from many months ago, about Palm + BB putting together a software "upgrade/fix/patch/whatever" for the Treo 650... I'm still waiting... in the meen time I can use my Treo to access the web and therefore, access our company's Outllook Web Access server and "pull" my company email. I'm sure I can use the included "Versamail" to pull my company email, like my POP3 email every 5 minutes, but I would then need to buy and add a VPN client, and even scarrier, configure it to our company's crap. I assume I could use the VPN info on my laptop... but you never know...

I am on Sprint, so I don't expect to be able to switch to the 700w until this summer, but if you find a fix, please let us know!!

Do you have Exchange Server? If so, it's all built in.

Yes, we do; Outlook 2K3...

I was talking to a programmer friend for our company and he said they could "turn on" POP3 email service on the Exchange server, which would work just fine for me "pulling" email every 5 min. or so...

He is going to run this up the flag pole at corporate as a supplement/alternative to our BB based enterprise. I think we have about 70 of our managers on BB's and a few of us funding our own Treo's in concert to a company provided cell phone (Verizon).

If things fall my way, I can turn in my company cell and have the company pick up at least part of my Treo expense... (a whopping $68.00 for voice and unlimited data )

Then I'll change gears even more if I trade my 650 in for a SPRINT 700w this summer!

Why wouldn't you use the Microsoft Exchange Activesync that's built into Exchange Server and your Palm device?
