T-mobile And 700w

I am fairly weathered when it comes to technology. I was wondering if there was a way for me to buy the 700W unlocked and put my little sim card in it and do my own thing. Anyone have any tips?

OR...

Are us rejects who refuse to pay expensive Versison SOL and have to wait. If we have to wait for T-Mobile to carry it? If so... us rejects should start a thread on speculation for when they will carry it.

Verizon/Microsoft/Palm held a press conference back in the fall and introduced the phone for a January Release. According to that Press conference, Verizon (CMDA) has an exclusive on this phone for 6 months. Rumor is, Sprint will see this phone next. And shortly after that, GSM versions will appear, and that means that you can purchase an unlocked version then. Long story short, you are looking at 6 months at least before you see an unlocked version, and most likely, means like 9 months before they are available. And by that time, you will be hearing about the 700P model from palm, coming to GSM carriers first, so you will have a whole new set of options
