    Smile Test Messaging

I would love to know if there is a way on it or a seperate program I can get that will allow me to view my texts the way they used to show on the 650. There you were able to see whole conversations on the 700wx you can only see what you sent and what you received seperatly. I would also like to know if there is a program or a way you can send files through text messages

    !!!!!!!!!!!!!!please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Default HELP as well!

Hi there, my first post...Yes, this is the main reason I have found this forum!

My first Treo here and Im starting to think I should have gotten the OS version. Friend of mine had somethign similar that looked to be like ichat, it kept the entire convo. WHen I text, it seems like a random message, no log. It's making me crazy.

Anything out there to download? Not looking for anything as far as IM, all set there, just basic phone texting.

    Thanks!

Hi - I had a go at installing the text threader using the Add/Remove programmes via ActiveSync. Have since had a few txts but there is no change in how theyare viewed - still in Inbox and Sent folders.
Dont see anything in the settings which allows me to make any changes - what is necessary to get it threading msgs together?

I went to the link above in the forums, and first downloaded the SMS "threader", then I saw "textman"..I also saw another, but the link to it was gone even after joining pcgeek, which by the way was worth it...

I tried both. I liked certain things about textman, but most annoying was no notification of a text. The SMS one, is able to give you notification. It's weird though. If you test someone (or vice versa) they are stored as ONE long running thread. It's kind of ok in a sense, but not what I expected.

Textman crashed alot, this SMS thread one seems to operate smoother. It's not perfection, but if your really desperate for threaded texts, then this is ok.

Was pretty easy to get going as well. Downloaded to the desktop, unstuffed, active sycned it and it was no problem.

This was a first for me, so im curious to any other new approaches or threaded software if you have it.

I've been using SMSThreader for a few days and I am not that impressed.

First, from what I can tell there is no way to send one text to multiple recipients at the same time.

Second, the recipient field does not auto populate names when you start typing like the native messaging tool does. You have to click options/look up recipient and the enter from there.

Third, when you tap on the SMS thread it doesn't open it up...you have to click the center button on the Treo.

I know it is free, but I think I'll probably go back to the old way.

Is anyone seeing this or just me?

The threaded SMS application from the 750v was extracted and has been successfully used on a 700w/wx.

Its been over 2 years since this thread was updated. Has the Treo 700wx or any other apps been created for "text threading".

I'm hopeful that someone has one!
