Default text message sent notification

Hi, First post :D

I just got my first treo 700wx w/alltel.

I really like it thus far, but I send a lot of text messages. I was wondering does anyone know how to turn off either the sound or the notification that pops up saying the text message was sent without changing other sound or notifications.

I was reading somewhere that I could change this in the registry, but didn't wanna try that until i asked.

Thanks for any help.

Hello there
Hope you enjoy yr treo 700wx - its a neat lil techie toy.

Re your txt querie

Go to Start/Settings/Sounds & Notifications/Notifications tab
In the Event drop down box, select New Text Message and you will find options there for what you are asking.
Cheers

As far as I can tell, there is no way to turn off the message sent notification and sound. Which completely blows. The only option in Sounds and Notifications is for Text Message Received... not sent.

I have heard that you can get a registry editor and edit this portion of the registry, or add a portion to the registry saying not to show this message sent notice.

Actually, if you install the SMS threader application (shows txt msg in a chat-like form - awesome app) there is an option for turning this off. I too didn't want this. Check here
