Things are running after you exit

Treo700 . . . .Excellent

Does anyone know why the operating system (treo700) lists programs you close out still open in the settings/memory (Running programs section). I will close out a program and go into settings later in the day and it is still running . . .I click on stop all and they stop and clear off the list. . . .

i think it has to do with the difference between 'closing' and 'exiting' programs...not all programs seem to have an exit (sometimes worded as Quit)...it seems a little weird to me

I blame that on the programmer because a few programs that I use have an actual exit button within the program and the standard (x) on the upper right hand corner to minimize the software, TCPMP & Resco products are well designed programs that gives you that choice.
