Here's my story:

Last year I purchased a VAJA leather case for my Treo. It was the one with the cool metal belt clip.

Around December, I noticed that the Treo would sometimes just drop out of the belt clip. One time, it was in the parking lot. Luckily, the Treo was not damaged at all.

Turns out that the metal pin that holds the Treo to the belt clip had worn thin. That's why it was spontaneously dropping out.

So - I went to the VAJA website to purchase a new metal belt clip, but I didn't see any option to do that transaction. I eventually ended up contacting VAJA customer service.

At their request, I emailed them a picture (taken on my Treo) of the case and clip. They suggested that I purchase the other clip (which was the hardened plastic one). They said that it would be more durable.

They told me to mail in my case and clip, and that they would replace it for free!

That's what I did. It arrive in the mail yesterday.

From what I can tell, the case looks also looks brand new. And the new belt clip, as they said, is much much more sturdier that the metal one (although I really liked the way the metal one looked and worked.)

...great customer service. I will definitely buy more stuff from VAJA.

I'm thinking about getting a vaja case but had a question - can it hang horizontally on the belt clip or does it just hang vertically?

did you get one with the flip screen cover or without? I'm debating since I want the protection but not the bulk...

The vaja case pivots freely 360 degrees on the belt clip. However, the Treo's naturally center of gravity seems to be in the vertical position. I got mine without the flip, since I was going for a sleeker look.

The vaja cases are well made. One can clearly see the craftsmanship once you get it into your hands. The leather case is crafted to last a very long time. I highly recommend it!
